Daily Cup

For when those mornings when you’re tired and can’t find it within yourself.Small things keep us going. Sometimes we do not have the energy to do it ourselves, so we turn to outside resources as a means to keep us going. Here provides a resource, a daily cup so to speak, of hope and belief for the times when we cannot find it within. Remember that things like this, and many other, are waiting to give us the energy to take like by the horns, while we wait for those days when we’re a bit better rested. (possibly bring on another writer to take it). Posts that helped lead to creation of this blog, based on love and self-care. For now, I don’t need it, but it’s always there. So the project is left open; accept submissions, may post from time to time. Here they are.

Our Cup Runneth Over

To the creators and cast of Schitt’s Creek, I would like to begin by first taking a moment to acknowledge and congratulate you all on the laundry-list of accolades you received at the Emmy Awards this year. It is no small feat to walk into a ceremony with 19 nominations and leave with 9 prizes,Continue reading “Our Cup Runneth Over”

A Dedication to Life

Due Date: ???? A letter to the lonely hearts, Hello again! It’s me, Joseph. How are things? I know they must be difficult since you’ve come to read this letter. How are you? Stop and Smell the Roses

“Don’t wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.” -Luther Burbank, American botanist While walking around my neighborhood, there are several houses I make a beeline toward in order to see what they’ve planted outside. I Would Walk 10,000 Miles

“To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles.” -Mary Davis, author and spiritualist. Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about my creative process. It can take a lot of energy to write an article every Monday-Friday for this blog: ideas must be formulated. Drafts written then proofread. Then entirely deleted becauseContinue reading “I Would Walk 10,000 Miles”

Piano: Read. Play. Love.

“Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit and never dies.” -Edward Bulwer-Lytton, English Writer and Politician. I’ve always been a big lover of music: classical, hip-hop, alternative. You name it, I’ve heard it. Since my earliest days I still remember how the church pianist could make my hairs stand on endContinue reading “Piano: Read. Play. Love.”

Come Hell or High Water

“As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.” -Audrey Hepburn After a brief check-in with my mental health, I decided it was time to go back to therapy. Sometimes, the problems we face are a lot bigger than us. So IContinue reading “Come Hell or High Water”
